Modular Fighting Veichle System (MFVS)

The Modular Fighting Veichle System is a family of next generation combat veichles. The veichles was developed by the HOE Arnament Systems. Denel-Uitenage have together with HOE Arnament Systems started producing the S (S for Stellaland) version of the veichle, optimized for the African climate and terrain. The concept behind the MFVS is that "you get what you pay for. Nothing more, nothing less", meaning that all the turrets and systems found on the veichle systems are compliable with each-other. Both the HOE versions and the Stellaland versions. The veichles can be modified and fitted to perfectly match our buyers needs.

As for now, Uitenhage Armor (the company responsible for building the veichles) are only producing the W4, W6 & W8 type of veichles, and some systems must be imported from HOE, meaning that certain models will have slightly longer production times. The following models have been purchased by The Armed forces of Stellaland, and are currently beeing produced on a large scale.

Uitenhage MFV T2S

The Uitenhage MFV T2S "Hyena" is a new, state of the art Infantry Fighting Veichle. The Standard issue model comes with a 30mm Auto-Cannon and a coaxial 7.62x51mm machine gun and ATGM launcher. Advanced targeting systems with thermal imaging system. The Veichle have a top speed of 70 km/h and operational range of 300 km. The veichle have a crew of three (gunner, driver and commander) and can carry up to eight fully equipped infantrists.

AH-25 Super-Rooivalk

The AH-25 Super-Rooivalk is a modernized version of the AH-2 Rooivalk. Its include a new HUD built into the glass, advanced thermo and infrared sights and the possibility to share target data with other Rooivalks. Built by Denel Aerospace.

Leopard 2-S1

The Leopard 2-S1 is the Stellan made version of the famous Leopard 2 MBT (the S1 model is based on the A6 model). The Leopard 2-S1 comes with an enhanced air cooling system to cope with the harsh tempratures of Africa. It also comes with additional armor on the underside of the tank to withstand IED's. Cage armor have also been installed to cope with RPG's. Built by Uitenhage Motor Works.

Denel-Vector R7 & R8 Assault Rifle

The R7 & R8 family of weapons was a joint project between Denel and Vector to produce new weapons for the Stellan Armed Forces. It was deemed impossible to make one weapon that could be universal. Airborne units, light infantry and urban units requested a lightweight carabine suited for close quarters battle and light and small enough to be used by paratroopers. But other units, such as the Cavalry, who's strenght lays in the open field, such as the Kalahari Desert requested a heavier caliber for firefights at longer ranges. It was decided to make two weapons, more or less identical, but in two different calibers. The weapons use alot of the same parts. The weapon system is based around the AR-15 family of weapons, but with an improved gas system thats more dureable in dusty and sandy enviroments. R17 & R18 are export models of the R7 & R8. Modifications can be done, upon request.

Mokopa SAL

The Mokopa SAL (Semi-Active Laser) is a Stellan made air-to-ground missile, designed primary as an anti-tank missile. The Mokopa utilize Semi-Active Laser (SAL) guidance, requiring the target to be illuminated by a laser designator either on the launch platform or elsewhere; though there are alternative guidance packages available including a millimetre-wave radar (MMW) seeker and a two-colour imaging infrared (IIR) seeker.

All variants of the Mokopa feature two launch modes, Lock-On Before Launch (LOBL) and Lock-On After Launch (LOAL). LOBL is the older, more conventional mode of missile launching, where the target has to be illuminated by the launch platform before launch. LOAL on the other hand allows the launch platform to launch the missile even though it may not be in sight of the target. In terms of the SAL version, this would then allow either the launch platform to move into place and only illuminate the target immediately prior to the missile striking the target, or it would allow an observer on the ground equipped with a laser designator to guide the missile in. This method of launching greatly reduces the exposure time of the launch platform to enemy fire.

Though primarily designed to be launched from a helicopter, the Mokopa has been tested on a variety of platforms, including its mounting on light armored vehicles and on ships or small boats. For the latter purpose, the Mokopa is available with an anti-ship warhead.

What is the weight of the W4 series vehicles? Would it be possible to transport them in an AN-12/C-130 type aircraft?

(ooc. I do not know the exact specifications, but I'd guess about 10 - 12 tons)

The W4 series is intended to be light weighted, fast and highly manouverable. The W4 can be transported in AN-12/C-130 types of air-crats, and can even be air-lifted by helicopter. The W4 can be fitted with most modules, but for obvious reasons we do not suggest fitting the W4 with the heaviest of guns.

The Rhodesian military is interested in adopting a variant of the W4 vehicle. We would like to purchase two of the W4SATGM variants without the missiles or guidance electronics as we will be fitting it with our own MPAT missile. Preliminary designation will be X-W4RATGM

We are also interested in developing our own variant for use as a rapidly deployable fire support vehicle using a Rhodesian-designed turret. To this end, we would like to purchase ten chaises with turret mounting hardware for construction of prototype vehicles. Planned vehicles are:

-Fire support variant with 82mm automatic mortar and 0.50 caliber coaxial machine gun
-Fire support variant with 120mm breech loading mortar and 0.30 caliber coaxial machine gun
-Fire support variant with 90mm F1 gun and 0.30 caliber coaxial gun
-Fire support variant with 100mm smoothbore gun and 0.30 caliber coaxial machine gun
-Anti-air variant with 23mm autocannon and IRST/laser ranging guidance system

We have also developed guided HEAT ammunition to give the 82mm and 120mm mortars a basic anti-armor capability.

If the Stellan military is interested we can share information and sell turrets.

We can sell Rhodesia the basic W4S without any modifications if that would be desireable. Or with turret, but without a gun. Denel-Uitenhage would be very interested in the guided HEAT mortar system, and make a version that can be fitted to The Modular Fighting Veichle System.

We will purchase the vehicles without turrets but with the hardware for mounting a turret to the turret ring.

The Rhodesian Army uses a system with a combination breech loading 120mm low recoil mortar and a 25mm autocannon on its LAV series vehicles. A similar system can surely be constructed for the MFVS.

One reason that we have begun to explore 120mm gun/mortars is that they are both large enough to carry an effective anti-armor payload and guidance mechanisms and that they can be used for indirect fire. The mortars can be breech loaded and fired from within the vehicle or drop-fired in the traditional manner from outside for a greater rate of fire.

Guided projectiles, with HEAT and other warheads,  are available for 120mm, 160mm and 240mm mortars.

Al-Hasa would like to place an order for 500 Leopard 2-S1 tanks.

(ooc. Shit, never noticed your post)

Denel-Uitenhage can provide the 500 tanks. Should Al-Hasa have any Leopard II tanks in its inventory, they can be sent to Stellaland for upgrade to S1 standard. The rest will be built from scratch.
