While I continue to debate a return (or a trial period) I have some questions about how things have morphed since I was last here (roughly 2 years).

1. Is it still based essentially on RL natural resources?
2. Is it still essentially a "build your own country" so that areas such as Central Africa can create large modern societies?
3. Are militaries still based on RL armaments available to multiple nations (I.E. Kusnetzov Class Carriers are OK but Nimitz Class are not?)
4. Have we ever conquered dealing with trade?
5. Any other major things that I should be aware of?

1. Yes for the most part nationa are still bound by the natural resources.
2. Yes your nation can be built through Rp into any nation you can imagine within reason.
3. Military Arms are bound in the begining to what  the RL nation that you inhabit have.
4. Kinda.. we have a econemy moderator who is to oversee these kind of things
5. Expansionism is rampant.

That's the maximum at start so to speak. You can always have a weaker army of course.
Always assume that a restarted or new nation is lacking in organization and supplies for their armed forces and that the situation will improve over time as the new nation becomes more and more stable.
Some leeway in terms of equipment can be allowed as well to suit personal tastes. (You might prefer Centurion tanks to T-72 for example or MiG-21 to F4 Phantom etc.).

5. Expansionism is rampant.

And occasionally frowned upon when players cannot keep IC and OOC conflicts apart.
