I propose you continue the RP with unrest in the Balkans and with the growing training of local forces to maintain order a new sense of nationality begins to emerge and rather than have a full scale war the HOE decides to allow Serbia to secede.

Already sent in my boys to start smoothing out the militia's rough edges. At least he'll have a foundation for his military.

Aww...I knew my request would get missed, up there at the top of my post! Not to worry though, as it's actually given me an opportunity to sound you guys out.

So...which of the following ideas for a second nation do you think has greater possibilities:

1. Galicia-Volhynia: Northern Subregion, Provinces 161, 162 & 163. Pros: Something new and fresh; close to Serbia and the situation in the Balkans.  Cons: Landlocked, HOE only active neighbour.

2. Albania (former constituent state of the Antiochene Empire): Northern Subregion, Province 215; Eastern Subregion, Province 16 (and possibly 15). Pros: Already established with a proven track record; close to action in Kurdistan and the Caucasus; possibility of restarting conflict in Uzbekistan. Cons: Old news; out-of-the-way location.

Thoughts?

Unless you go for European Albania which would put you next door to Serbia. :D
That could be bad or good...

While we're on the subject, can we talk about something that just accured to me. There are some states that are offically not active, but are still on the map, is it safe to say that a person could assume their control under this new rule, especailly if the area isn't to active?

No, not unless that state has "expired" and been demapped in which case another player could in theory recreate the state at a later date to serve as his/her secondary state.

European Albania is a colony of the LU, I would be willing to give it to someone provided they rp a successful rebellion.

So even if a state has expired, but not been demapped, that means no go?

Demapping = officially expired.

It's a clumsy tool but it's the one we've got for the moment.

Which reminds me:
We need a map update.

Seriously, we do.

I hadn't thought about it now, but a map update would be helpful, especially now.

Don't worry LU, European Albania isn't really my scene anyway!

So...it seems that neither of my ideas appealed. Looks like it's back to the drawing board...  :|

HOE didn't go for the Galicia-idea?

As for Albania, all we need is an updated map and you'd be good to go.

All the territories I mentioned are currently vacant, so that's not a problem- when I speak of 'Albania' I don't mean European Albania, i.e. Shqiperia, which is controlled by LU. I mean Caucasian Albania, i.e. Azerbaijan!

Yes, I should probably change the name is it is going to cause massive confusion...  :-D
