Warlordia is a large, heavily industrialzed nation. Industry is geared mostly towards military needs and the major parts of civilian consumer goods are foreign imports with Wrexvia and the Territory being major suppliers .

Formed in 1956 by a coalition of local warlords during the collaps of the colonian empires after WWII. The name Warlordia came into use as the international press used the phrase to criticize the often harsh actions taken by the warlords and the name stuck. For most parts of the late 1950’s through the 60’ the coalition waged war and supressed various competitors and insurgents. During this time, both the Warsaw Pact and NATO would supply Warlordia to further their own interests, as did South Africa. In the mid-70’s the situation finally stabilized and a young, self-appointed general, Henrik Cornelius took command of the junta and established the worlds first, official militocracy. Now in his late 50’s Henrik Cornelius remains President-General of Warlordia.

Warlordia is not a democracy, no elections exist, nor does religion play any role whatsoever in Warlordian politics. All that matters is the ever-present ”Chain of Command”.

VIII. Economy

The economy of Warlordia is difficult to rate, not only because foreign analysts are often denied access to any useful information but because of the unorthodox focus of the economic system which is geared towards keeping an abnormally large military up and ready. Warlordia is not so much a nation with an army as an army with a nation.

Their heavy industrialization and arms exports makes for a steady flow of hard currency into Warlordia. National resources also makes Warlordia nominally rich.

However, since most of this goes to the military, the average Warlordian civilian actually has a lower living standard than a nation of equally advanced industry.

Warlordian agriculture is somewhat hampered by old-fashioned methods but a recent cooperation with the far more advanced Wrexvia is already beginning to show a slow but steady increase in agricultural output. Nevertheless, starvation is virtually non-excistant, even though very few people live well enough to grow fat.
