The African Union Director of Economic Affairs is responsible for organizing and overseeing the economic institutions of the Africa region. The Economic Director updates the World Commodities Import Tables as well as specific requests by countries to set commodity prices. The Director will serve as the region’s authoritative source on economic development in the region. Qualifications: The AU Secretary General will appoint an individual from a state in the region, who is active, dedicated, and pays attention to detail. Budget: The Office of Economic Affairs will receive $50 million from the AU budget every 3 months. These funds are provided to the government of the historian’s home state, but remain under his/her control. |
